While this treatment isn’t painful, the intense heat from the targeted beam of light can cause some discomfort. We cleanse the treatment area before any laser tattoo removal session, then apply a numbing cream to decrease potential discomfort caused by the laser.
After your laser session, we apply a topical cream to the treated area. Then, we give you a bandage to wear until the skin heals.
Post-treatment side effects (if you experience them) are similar to a sunburn: redness, skin sensitivity, slight swelling, and discomfort. The treated area often scabs over. Be sure to avoid sun exposure during this time, as your skin will be sensitive.
