Where does PRP come from?

We derive platelet-rich plasma from your own blood. At the start of each session, we draw a small amount of blood from your arm, which we then put into a centrifuge. This machine rapidly spins your sample until the plasma separates from the red and white blood cells. Then, we inject this plasma into your treatment areas. Platelets are rich in growth factors, which are the key to maintaining cellular health. Without them, your skin and hair cells regenerate at a slower rate, leading to wrinkles, dead skin buildup, hair thinning, and more.

When will I notice results from my PRP treatment?

You can notice improvements in your skin and hair health in as early as 2 to 4 weeks. However, some treatments may take longer than others. For example, advanced hair loss may require multiple months for significant results to take shape. Cosmetic PRP results can last for 12 to 18 months with proper skincare. For those who want to treat their joints with PRP, results can last between 6 to 12 months. With occasional maintenance visits, the benefits of PRP can last even longer.

What happens after each PRP session?

If you receive a PRP facial, you may experience 1 to 3 days of mild redness and sensitivity. Meanwhile, PRP injections can cause slight bruising or swelling around the injection site. It may take 2 to 5 days to recover completely from treatment. During the recovery process, you should avoid UV exposure by staying out of direct sunlight and tanning beds. Apply SPF 30+ to keep your skin safe from irritation. Do not use saunas, take hot showers, or participate in strenuous exercise within 2 days of your treatment. For 3 to 5 days post-visit, do not use harsh cleansers or scrub your treatment area, as exfoliation can irritate the skin. Keeping your skin hydrated and moisturized is a must while you heal.
