Is Versa Right for Me?
Generally, Versa is considered an ideal treatment for most patients. However, men and women hoping to undergo these injections must be at least 22 years old in order to ensure safe and effective results. In addition, there are a few factors that may make a patient a less than ideal fit for Versa, including patients who:
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Have a history of hypertrophic scarring or keloid formation
- Possess scars on the injection sites
- Have acne and/or other inflammatory diseases of the skin
- Are susceptible to severe allergic reactions
- Have been diagnosed with acute or chronic skin disease
- Are under concomitant anticoagulant therapy, antiplatelet therapy, or have a history of bleeding disorders, clotting disorders, or connective tissue disorders
How Does Versa Work?
During your consultation, we'll listen to your concerns and goals before deciding on your injection sites. At this point, we'll begin to make our injections. Versa is the only HA dermal filler in the country that is available in a 1.2mL syringe size, which allows us to provide 20% more product in each syringe. These injections are made in the mid to deep dermis, helping to eliminate moderate to severe wrinkles, including nasolabial folds. In total, the treatment takes about 10 – 15 minutes to carry out. After this, patients will be free to return to their normal daily life.
What Results Can I Expect from Versa?
Typically, our patients notice results immediately with continuing results being achieved throughout the following days. In terms of recovery, Versa causes about 50% less swelling than many alternative products, which allows patients to not worry as much about their appearance in the immediate hours after the injections. Most patients will begin to see noticeable results from the injections for up to one year after their last session.
How much does Versa cost?
How many Versa injections you'll need to reach your goals will determine your final cost. In your initial consultation at Body Bar MD, we'll examine your skin and talk to you about your aesthetic goals. Then we can create a personalized Versa treatment plan for you and estimate your cost.
Should I get BOTOX or Versa?
BOTOX and Versa work two different ways. BOTOX relaxes the muscles that cause dynamic wrinkles and lines, causing them to smooth out. Versa is a dermal filler that injects a formulation of hyaluronic acid to fill in areas of lost volume and deep lines and creases. During your consultation, we will help you choose the best option to meet your goals. Often, the two procedures can be used together to achieve even better aesthetic results.
Is Versa safe?
Yes, it is. Approved by the FDA in 2017, hundreds of thousands have taken advantage of the age-defying benefits of Versa to smooth facial lines and plump up the lips.
When do you see results with Versa?
Most patients see almost immediate results, with these results continuing to improve as the HA stimulates the production of collagen and elastin.
How long does Versa last?
Many patients can see their results last up to a year before a touch-up treatment may be recommended.
